Gabrielle Pearson (she/her) is an acclaimed producer, director, and the founder of Majella, leading the company across Australia and the United States. Renowned for her introspective and intersectional approach to filmmaking, Gabrielle's work is driven by a commitment to telling diverse, vital stories - both on and off screen.
As a filmmaker, Gabrielle has written and directed short films that have screened internationally and been selected for Academy Award–qualifying film festivals. As a producer, her debut feature, What Goes Around, is currently streaming on Prime Video. Most recently, she produced First Light, which won the Best Director Award at the Melbourne International Film Festival, was an Official Selection at the International Film Festival Rotterdam, competed at the Marrakech International Film Festival, and will premiere at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC.
Her work is defined by an authentic and distinctive visual language that acts as a portal to evocative worlds. Passionate about championing underrepresented voices, Gabrielle consciously collaborates with diverse creatives to help shape a more progressive and inclusive screen industry. She currently has a number of feature films in development and pre-production, continuing to build a meaningful slate of work with an international focus.
